Dangerous time travel

This week wonders why in every time travel story, its imperative that you don't change history (or at worst set it back to how it was). However, in Dr Who, all he does is traipse around history, changing events. Can sevilia come up with something better than 'I know what I'm doing'? Note - the rest of the sunday cartoon will feature famous moments of Dr Who in pivotal moments of history (eg - with Queen Victoria, Shakespeare, Agatha Christie, Pompeii, etc).
