One staple of huge epic movies is a great battle scene (particularly now that computers have done away with the legions of extras required). Just as required is a stirring speech before the battle. Note - all punchlines prefixed with 1: are for Arrogance's speech, 2: are for Gonedaft's speech. Now it's no secret that I'm not the most Shakespeare-literate person in the world (wherefore art thy warranty, anyone?). So thanks to Vicki who informed me that her winning punchline came from the epic speech in Henry V, Act 4, Scene III. The winning punchline was submitted by Vicki and Nazgul. There were 38 finalist punchlines chosen for this cartoon. You can read the transcript of IRC Judging Session #427 where we decided the winning punchline. This cartoon was archived on 2005-06-08.
