Choosing captain

I'm getting quite psyched about the upcoming Star Trek movie. I've even persuaded Wendy to use the gold class tickets she's been sitting on for a while now (but as they expire in June, it was either Star Trek or Terminator Salvation - she chose the lesser of two evils). But I digress. Amidst all the special effects, one of the cooler scenes in the trailers is Kirk first sitting in the captain's chair. This week, we see how he talked himself into the captain's role. There were 14 finalist punchlines chosen for this cartoon. SEVNOTE - The winning punchline for this cartoon hasn't been chosen yet.
