Last week's cartoon on Batman's image upgrade brings up an interesting point. There've been many movie remakes of comic book superheroes lately, most of which have the hero getting an X-treme makeover from kitschy comic book costume to cool, funky uniform. Superman on the other hand still features the bright primary colours, the cape and the underwear on the outside. How has he avoided a modern makeover?
