When Gaby lost her paper duckie, after an hour or two of crying and fruitless searching, I took a desperate step - I tried drawing a counterfeit duckie based on my recollection of the original picture. I excitedly told Gaby I found Duckie and handed her the counterfeit. She looked at it in silence for a moment then burst back into tears, not fooled for an instant. Toddlers are smarter than you think (or maybe I'm just a poor drawer of ducks). The winning punchline was submitted by mammakins. There were 15 finalist punchlines chosen for this cartoon.
